I am quickly realizing how exspencive fabric is.
I LOVE IT when people give me fabric that they had kicking around. Another thing that I love is when people give me old clothes that they can't use that have cool patterns or embroydery. As I enter into the world of purses I have many visions of quilted jean bags with all different patterns and grains,
I dream in fabric.
So if you have anything hiding in the
skinny bin (we all know what that is) or in the
fat bin, that you know deep down inside you will never wear(I'm really excited for any of you who will never have to wear anything from the fat bin again), but you really love it too much to get rid of, maybe it would make a cute purse, sewn by your truley of course!!

You sound so much like my mom...she's the same way. Always making something new out of something old. Wether it be a denim patchwork blanket out of old jeans or a new dress for Syd out of and old one of hers...she's always thinking and being creative. I admire that...and I admire you for doing the same. Its nice when there's some history behind something handmade. Keep it up!

Thanks! The nice thing about being creative with what you have is that it saves you money. And if you don't have much you either don't do anything or you get creative. Look for my future post on pillowcase dresses, tonights project.
