Pizza Balls

Here is a recipe for Pizza Balls from allrecipes.com. I've never made them with the sausage though, this isn't my original recipe, they would be good with sausage but pepperoni is cheaper so that's what I use. I also use way more stuff and way more cheese and a whole lot less water. I wouldn't add the whole cup right away. You don't want them to be gooey or they can be really hard to get cooked up on the dry side... this has always been the problem with these things is making sure they don't seem doughy in the middle. But yummy delish none the less... Ahhh... these make me think of Aussie Joe! Where are you Joe? I miss you!

INGREDIENTS
1 pound ground Italian sausage
2 cups baking mix
1 chopped green bell pepper
1 yellow onion, chopped
1 (16 ounce) package shredded mozzarella cheese
1 cup pizza sauce
1 cup water

DIRECTIONS
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C). Lightly grease a large baking sheet.
In a medium bowl, mix together Italian sausage, baking mix, green bell pepper, yellow onion, mozzarella cheese and pizza sauce. Gradually stir in water until the mixture is a workable consistency. Roll into 1 inch balls.
Arrange pizza balls on the baking sheet. Bake in the preheated oven 20 minutes, or until lightly browned. Serve hot.

Joni baking mix is the same thing as biscuit mix. I would just use some flour with salt and baking powder in it.
